Encuentro una similitud sorprendente entre las últimas palabras del androide de Blade Runner de Philip K. Dick y el comienzo de Howl, el poema de mi generación, el poema de Ginsberg. Encuentro una similitud sorprendente entre las últimas palabras del androide de Blade Runner de Philip K. Dick y el comienzo de Howl, el poema de mi generación, el poema de Ginsberg.
El personaje encarnado por Hauer dice de manera patética antes de "morir":
"I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I've watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhauser Gate. All those... moments will be lost in time... like... tears..in rain".
Y en el mismo tono patético Allen Ginsberg entona su poema:
I saw the best minds of my generation destroyed by madness, starving hysterical naked, dragging themselves through the negro streets at dawn looking for an angry fix,.....
Y el poema termina, para que la similitud sea mayor, con una apelación a las lágrimas:
I'm with you in Rockland in my dreams you walk dripping from a sea- journey on the highway across America in tears to the door of my cottage in the Western night
